Compatible with fender lines up to 1/2″ (12 mm) in diameter.

For best performance, use braided polyester fender lines. They slide more smoothly over rails and lifelines, making adjustments easier. Older or salt-stiffened ropes may be more difficult to adjust, so keep your lines clean and in good condition.

In adverse weather, the Fender Mate® is designed to allow the Fender to slip rather than pulling off your rails or lifelines; however, if you prefer, you can place a single knot under the Fender Mate™, which will prevent any slipping.
